In the newspaper there was a story about a primary school where they have decided that children should not put their hands up to answer questions. The idea is to include all children and not just the children who put their hand-up. We tried this today in Year 3. It was fun but very difficult to not put our hands up and we won't be doing that again.
In numeracy we estimated the mass of diferent object in the classroom, including Mrs Bennett, Karen and Mr Greenwood. Emmanuel weighed 30kg and Mr Greenwood weighed about 100kg.
We started a new myth in Literacy, we will be working on Greek myths today and next week.
For science we tested the absorbency of different papers. Not suprisingly we found that toilet tissue was the best for absorbing water.
