Simulations

We finished off our myths this morning. Some excellent myths were written. In Numeracy we started our new Numeracy topic which is shape and space. We looked at the properties of 2-D shapes.
In the afternoons we started our ICT topic: simulations. If you want to learn how to fly a plane you wouldn;t be able to go and practice straight away in a real plane. You can get a similar experience using a compter. We used the Thamesville game on the Northwood web site to simulate the building of a new town. This week we will play a computer game called Crystal Rainforest. We will have to solve problems use thinking sklls to complete the game and find magic crystals.
